Fraud or genuine psychics?

From: http://www.psychic-experiences.com

Read the article and write a short comment on it (100-150 words).
Do you believe psychics have special powers or are you sceptical? Do you know anyone who has been to a psychic? What happened?

It is a shocking fact to discover that in the psychic industry of today, out of every four people who call themselves psychic or medium readers, maybe only about one out of that are actually genuine psychics with real abilities. This will give you a clearer idea of how many fake psychics are actually out there preying on desperate people, people in real need of help.

Difference Between Genuine and Fraud Psychics As a genuine psychic myself, I find it a disgusting thought that there are people out their pretending to be something there not, but why do they pretend and what do they get out of it? Well, the plain facts are that greed is one of the major reasons for their pretence. To these fraud artists, the needs of others mean little, they care little about the psychological or emotional damage that their scam maybe causing, to those who need reassurance that there is light at the end of the tunnel for them. The above information even for me would be enough to make me want to stay clear of psychic readings and psychics readers, in general. There is hope though for those who would like to find a genuine reader and an honest reading. So, let us see if we can separate the Frauds to the Genuine Psychic Readers.

1) Many fake psychics on-line ask for your date of birth or your star sign. This is so that they can check their local newspaper for that days astrology reading, then they just type it up differently and make it sound like their actually picking up information from you.

2) Fake psychic online will ask for the country or city you live in and sometimes your age, this is because where you live can say a lot about the kind of life, education and your social status - work class, middle class, upper class etc.

You see, say you found out someone said they lived in Egypt, an ordinary person could guess the way this person live and the life they are leading. A person age and sex can tell fake psychics things about the general lifestyle interests and sometimes even the status of relationships. By using simple techniques often used in the study of Sociology.

3) A fake psychic will make all kinds of promises that they can bring back your lover with spells and candles which, of course, will all add up to extra and expensive charges. Ịf a psychic says you have a curse on you, your family or friend, this is a definite warning sign that you have found a fake psychic. Because curses, hexes etc, do not exist, and fear can be a powerful tool when it involves your nearest and dearest.

4) Many of the tips I have already given you have been used by fraud psychics, both on and off-line. Another sign that you are dealing with a fraudulent psychic is if they tell you they are famous or internationally world known, or have read for Hollywood stars. If you have never heard of them and all they have is an on-line site, then it is more realistic that they are frauds, if they were so world famous then you, your family or friends would have heard something about them.

5) Fraud psychics don't like to be tested, so they will never be interested in you asking a few questions that only you have the answers too. If they will not let you ask a few questions first or refuse to do a general reading, then it is more than likely they're con artists. A real genuine psychic can tell you about your past, present and future with some in-depth knowledge that not everyone would know. If all a psychic is willing to do is give you airy-fairy future readings with no personal or relevant information, then you got a fake psychic on your hands.

6) For face-to-face readings offline, it is better for you to go wearing some casual clothes, wear no rings, jewelry or designer wear. Everything from the way you sit, talk, clothes and jewelry you wear can tell a fake psychic a lot about you. If you speak very proper using a lot of big words, then it probably means your well educated, designer clothes can tell the reader you not short on cash. Jewelry, rings in particular, can tell about relationships, jewelry in general can tell the reader your social class, job status whether you are in a well-paid job etc. Do not give anything away if you want a real genuine and honest reading. If you drive but can walk to your reading then do so. Because regardless of what you wear or do not wear, a real psychic will be able to pick up on your life regardless of the above.

6) Do not let a fake psychic reel you in and manipulate you into giving them more information than you should or need to. A real genuine psychic will never ask you questions, a genuine psychic will only ever give you answers to your questions. Fake psychics can manipulate people into answering their questions and elaborating on their own answers, and then the fake reader will give you back your own answer but change it around to make it sound like they are picking something up psychically from you.

7) A fake psychic will be more interested in telling you what they think you want to hear, rather than being completely blunt and telling you your situation or problem like it is. For example, say you go to a psychic wanting to know if the guy/girl you are with is the one for you. A fake psychic, through a series of manipulative questioning, will have you tell them what you hope the answer will be without you realizing it. Then answer your question exactly how you want it to be. For the fake psychic, it is not about caring for others, or trying to help others, but more about getting you hooked for more readings. All the fake psychic cares about is money and themselves.

8) A fake psychic will try to reel you in and make a lot of cash out of you by pretending that they are your friend and that they care. Fake psychics are experts in manipulation. A genuine psychic will be blunt, honest and will not try to be your friend, but will honestly provide you with a professional service like any other advisor or consultant.

9) Fake feedback is a big problem in finding a genuine psychic among the fakes. If you go to an online psychic site, where the psychics are reviewed and find hundreds of glowing reviews and no average or bad reviews that there is a good chance that this psychic is a fake. All psychics have good and bad days and no psychic is 100% accurate, so if the reviews do not reflect that, and the psychics profile is filled with 100% worth of completely glowing reviews, then you will know that this fake psychic has been doctoring his/her reviews. Some psychic sites allow the psychics to use only certain reviews, so fake psychics can manipulate desperate individuals into giving them 5 stars reviews.

Then there is the age old tactic of the fake psychic to write their own reviews, or have their family and friends come and rate them and write reviews to make them look genuine.

10) Genuine psychics give you the good news and the bad news; they do not leave out the bits they think might lose them precious reviews or rating points. A genuine psychic will give you an honest reading that does not sound like something straight out of a fairy tale. A genuine psychic will not mind you testing them by asking them a few questions of your own choice.

11) A genuine psychic will give you some personal information about you that is not common knowledge to prove they are truly connected with you.

12) Genuine psychics do not give you false hope; they do not charge high prices or promise you anything more than an honest reading. A genuine reader will never try to manipulate you into returning to them for other readings, a genuine psychic will not ask for any information other than your first name, real psychics don't ask questions, they give answers.

13) Genuine psychics never talk of evil spirits or energy attached or around a person - a real psychic is not out to scare you or make you afraid.

14) A genuine and professional psychic does not divulge information like deaths, accidents or anything like this during a reading - this is unprofessional behavior for any psychic and is another fear and manipulation tactic of the fake psychic.

15) Genuine psychics do not need your date of birth, star sign or the country you live in, because a psychic reading is very different to an astrology reading, if the information given sound like its astrology from a newspaper or magazine then you have found a fake psychic. A genuine psychic will only ever recommend a reading every 6-12 months.

It is a sad state of affairs that there are so many frauds out there who are only interested in conning others. I hope with this article that I have given anyone interested in psychic readings some useful tips to finding genuine psychics and mediums in today's world.

Brightest Blessings

I believe there are psychics with special powers but it is so difficult find a real one that I prefer not to look for them.

Nevertheless in my family there is a woman who has this special powers, then is easier for me realize when the psychics are real or fake, because this relative doesn't ask about nothing, she only tells someone's future, and sometimes the past, and she never earns money with her ability.

If she practices her powers every day she'll need to visit the doctor because she'll suffer from splitting headache. This is another way to discover a real or fake psychic, because the fake one works 8 or 10 hours every day.

Finally, I prefer to live the present and keep my hope of being happy without the psychics.

I'm sceptical about psychics because I think this is a great bussines in our society and they can ear a lot of money. It bad because the psychics are playing with the emocions of people.
I had a experience twenty years ago. I visited a psychic with a friend because she belived in it, and she didn't want to go alone. When she had finished, the psychic saw me waiting and then she asked me if I wanted to pass. At the time, I was confused, but I decided to enter. She was a normal person, a little fat, sweet but with a stranger look in her eyes. She told me there were some ill people in my family. I thought she was talking about my grandmother. She said that I needed to prepare my mind because at the end of the year I would receive bad news. I must take care of my mother and my father. I was sorprised in november when my father died and my mother fell ill with depression.
This information confused me, because T thought about my grandmother and not about my father.
This was my experience and now I continued thinking that you have to take care when you go to see psychic people.

I don´t believe about the topic of psychics. However, I meet a lot of people who believe in them. One of these people is my best friend, Ana. I am going to tell about her experience.

One day, Ana was very sad because her parents wanted to get divorced and she decided to phone a psychic. The psychic asked her a lot of questions about her parents´ behaviour. After listening to everything, it was obvious the psychic´s answer, they would get divorced in a near future and it was so.

From my point of view, I think that psychics are tricksters and they guess answers which are obvious because if you ask something related with a topic, it is because you are very worried about that, so they know how answer to it.

In general,I don't believe in psychics or fortune tellers, I think there are truthful reasons to considerer psychics are false.Such us they never use their powers to become rich people, they aren´t able to prevent them from illness or to guess their own future possibilities.
In my opinion, prediction about people´s future is fake and the clairvoyant are brilliant pretenders.Besides,They have a lot of tricks to discover features of their customers´ lives and they are so good at using probability.
On the other hand, we know for sure, there are people who have special powers, for example, telepathy, premonitions or strange ways to cure illnesses. In my village there was a poor woman who had spontaneous visions of her neighbours´future, those premonitions came true .Although, we somebody wanted to know something about his future she wasn´t able to do it and she never used her powers for a living .
In conclusion, reading the future are a fraud but if psychics weren´t pretenders we would never know this, because they would keep it in secret to use theirs powers to earn a lot of money or power.

It could be a coincidence, but I´ve just known recently not one but two psychics. I would describe one of them as a discreet person. It´s impossible to guess he works as a full-time professional psychic.
The other one is not a professional because he also works as an auxiliary in a hospital. In this case is not difficult to notice that he´s a fake psychic, an authentic hooker. Actually you can see him out there prayin on deperate people.
Anyway, I believe it´s impossible to differenciate betwen genuine or fake psychic. Probabily there will be con artists and honest people, as in every job. For me the real question is why so many people need psychic assistence.

I believe that most of physics lie and they earn a lot of money with their inventions. They usually deceive desesperate people who want to know if their lives will change for better in the future.
However, everybody knows that our brain has a lot of unknown zones that we don´t use, and it´s possible that some people have strange abilities because thay can use some of these unknown zones. For this reason, I can believe that exist some people with these powers. But only a few, it´s impossible that exist hundreds of them!
I know nobody who has been in a physics and I think that I´ll never go to see one of them (but never say never again)

Firstly, I have to tell you, I don´t like this topic, perhap I am a little sceptical although I think, that only a few people, own some powers. Well, this isn´t the exactly word, it could be a six sense, or something similar.
Summing up, neither I believe nor I don´t believe, I respect this topic.
I would like to visit a psychic, but I´m a little bit scare due to what he or she can say to me; but my oldest sister has visited different psychics. The first four times she went there for fun. Those psychics were fakes. They asked her all kind of things, such as her life, if she was married or if she lived alone or with her parents etc.; about her studies, if she had finished it or if she was working, etc
But the last time, she wanted to visit a genuine psychic because she has a problem. This woman didn´t ask her anything, only if she wanted to know good or bad news, and my sister answered: "Both".
The psychic guessed all her past and all the predictions that she told my sister accomplished, like she´ll marry another time but she won´t have another baby; she´ll suffer a family death ( her aunt died because she suffer cancer), and others events.

"The more needy you are, the more conned you are."
There are lots of people in the world that their only thoughts are" money". Are there any fake spychic?. It is impossible to give you an afirmative answer. Maybe becouse I am a sceptical person. I do not believe in this topic but I recognize that there are people who brains are extraordirarily developed and have special powers.
On the other hand I knew a friend that the day before of her wedding went to a spychic woman. she only said her name and the woman said she was a quite , great and pretty girl and she was going to be very happy when she will married, that´s all. Then, she had to pay 5000 Ptas. I was so furious.
I think it is a great and greedy business and I am thinking to become in a famous spychic and call me "Madammar".

Well, I must say that unfortunately there´s a lot of people who is in a desperate situation and although they may not believe in psychics they go to see some kind of quack doctor as a last possibility to find some hope for their problems..maybe some strange illness..like it happened to me once.

I have never believed in psychics and neither have my parents..but in 2000 I got ill while I was having summer hollidays with my family. I developed a weird kind of arthritis. It took the doctors almost one month to realise that I was facing a reacive arthritis and in the mean time they kept prescribing me pills that were actually causing me more prejudice than relief..

I don´t remember how many doctors we visited, but after several weeks my parents saw me every time weaker and weaker, vomiting everything what I ate and over all, my mum got really scared. In that moment and out of desperation they took me to a man who called himself a kind of magic doctor....I was quite like ok, let´s try it..it hurts too much not to give it a chance.

I only got better when a arrived to Sevilla and a specialist in arthritis prescribed me the right pills..

My experience only helped my to stand by my original believes

All psychics are fake...if you want some help go to a real friend who probably will know you enough to be able to advice you...and you don´t need to tell them you name, country, age, etc...so it will be faster too!
